Spears, 'Criminal' boyfriend craft a 'sensual' fairy tale

It's all about quick-witted casting, says Chris Marrs Piliero, who directed the music video, his second time working with Spears.

"When you're doing nudity, I don't regard as it was at the top of Britney's list to bring in some random guy while her boyfriend watches," Piliero says.

Spears, 29, had a basic blueprint in cancel from the mind for the video, and Piliero took it to the next level.

"She wanted to kind of have this fairy-tale, sweet, knight-in-shining-armor atmosphere to it," says Piliero. "I said let's take that and make the fairy tale badass."

"We definitely wanted to make some emotional, steamy scenes, but we also wanted it to be intensely beautiful. We didn't want to go for raunchy. We wanted it to be sensual and misty."

In the mini-movie that was filmed in London over two days, Criminal tells the story of Spears kicking her snooty, creep boyfriend to the curb — literally — and falling for a bad-boy biker who whisks her off to a life of robberies and tall tale.
