Adele Makes Video for 'Someone Like You'

Around a year after releasing her hit song, “Someone Like You,” Adele has finally filmed a video to go together with the song.

The video was directed by Jake Nava, who has also directed videos for hitmakers Leona Lewis and Britney Spears. Speaking on the video, Nava has said that the context of the video was meant to “evoke style and romance.” Filmed in the early morning hours, the video, according to Nava, “allows you to convergence on Adele in this lonely and emotional space.”

The last music video that Adele shot was for her smash hit, “Rolling In the Deep-rooted.” The video was filmed in late 2010 and won several awards at the VMAs. Adele is widely known for her soulful raise and her powerful and emotional performance delivery. She first strolled onto the music scene in 2008 with her phenomenal breakthrough album, ’19.’

’19′ was followed up with one more, equally as normal album ’21.’ “Someone Like You” became an instant hit after Adele performed the song at the Brit Awards in February, where it soared to the Edition 1 spot on the singles chart the following week. In July, the song proved to be a bigger success than anyone could have imagined when it became the first individual to sell 3 million copies in the current decade.
