Glamorous masquerade has follow up

Gay activist Travis Murray is organising a gay awareness fundraiser that he says will be a night-time of drag queen-inspired fun and colour.

Glamorous: The Diva Show will be a follow-on from the Glamorous masquerade gala ball that was held before 100 spectators at the Moree Plains Gallery in May.

The at any rate will be held at the New Max Function and Conference Centre on October 22 - and Mr Murray said the sequel would be better than the initial.

“It’s going to be big, brighter and more fabulous than the last event,” he said.

“With the success of the first event we’re looking at a crowd of 200 people.”

The sundown will have a diva theme, and will feature music from singers like Aretha Franklin, Beyoncé, Madonna, Cher, Britney Spears and Dolly Parton.

Mr Murray will be reprising his r as drag queen Anita Goodman. Sydney-based drag queen Destiny Haz Arrived will also be returning.
